Tagliolo Monferrato ( Piedmontese Tajeu or Tajeo ) is a municipality with 1538 (as of December 31, 2019) inhabitants in the Italian province of Alessandria (AL), Piedmont region . history

The name of the place comes from taliolus , maybe an area with intensive logging was here. The place was founded in 976 after a feud between Aleramici and Otto I.
