Guazzora ( Piedmontese la Guassora ) is an Italian municipality with 303 (as of December 31, 2019) inhabitants in the province of Alessandria (AL), Piedmont region .
geography
The place is about 21 km northeast of the provincial capital Alessandria and about 90 km east of the regional capital Turin in the climatic classification of Italian municipalities in zone E, 2,548 GG. Guazzora is 78 m slm , the municipality covers an area of 2.80 km².
The neighboring municipalities are Alzano Scrivia , Castelnuovo Scrivia , Isola Sant'Antonio , Molino dei Torti and Sale .
Attractions
- Santa Maria Assunta , church in the center, which was built in the 17th century but was not consecrated until 1753 by the Bishop of Tortona , Giuseppe Ludovico Andujar. The Cantoria was built above the entrance in 1858 and was designed by G. Mentasti from Varese .
