Bistagno ( Piedmontese Bistagn ) is an Italian municipality with 1810 (as of December 31, 2019) inhabitants in the province of Alessandria (AL), Piedmont region .
The neighboring communities are Castelletto d'Erro , Melazzo , Monastero Bormida ( AT ), Montabone ( AT ), Ponti , Rocchetta Palafea ( AT ), Sessame ( AT ) and Terzo .

Culinary specialties
In Bistagno, vines are grown for Dolcetto d'Acqui , a red wine with DOC status. The berries of the Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay grape varieties can be used to make Alta Langa sparkling wine . The Muscat grape for Asti Spumante , a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with a low alcohol content, and for the still wine Moscato d'Asti are also grown here.
