Lucas Firnhaber (born April 23, 1997 in Buxtehude ) is a German handball player . He is under contract with the German first division club TUSEM Essen .

Career

Firnhaber had played for Buxtehuder SV , MTV Braunschweig and Eintracht Hildesheim before he switched to the youth team at THW Kiel in 2013. From January 2016 he was part of the extended squad of the Kiel Bundesliga team and at the same time played with a second game right for third division club TSV Altenholz . In the THW professionals, the 2-meter-tall backcourt player only played in the quarter-finals of the DHB Cup 2016/17 in a 29:23 win against TSG Ludwigshafen-Friesenheim .

For the 2018/19 season, Lucas Firnhaber moved to the second division TUSEM Essen, with whom he signed a two-year contract. With Essen, he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2020.
