Luciana Pedraza (born January 5, 1972 in Salta , Argentina ) is an Argentine actress , director and screenwriter . Pedraza has been married to actor and director Robert Duvall since 2005 .

Life

Pedraza was born in 1972 in the northern Argentine city of Salta as the eldest of five sisters. Her family moved to Jujuy Province when she was two years old . At the age of 16 she moved to the capital, Buenos Aires , where she finished her education. She later worked as an event manager and founded the event agency W. & Associates in 1994 .

In 1996 she met Robert Duvall in Buenos Aires, whom she spoke to with friends on the street and invited them to a party. Pedraza is 41 years younger than him to the day. She moved to Duvall in the United States in 1997. While filming Duvall's next film, Apostle! her interest in film production was aroused.

In 2002 she took on the side of Duvall and under his direction, her first role in the film Killing Moves , in which she played the tango dancer Manuela .

In 2004 Pedraza made her first own film, A Portrait of Billy Joe . The documentary is about the life of the musician and actor Billy Joe Shaver .
