From then on he called himself Eriberto Conceição da Silva and pretended to be four years younger (his new date of birth was January 21, 1979). He was hired by Palmeiras São Paulo , where he stayed until 1998 before moving to Bologna FC . After two seasons with Bologna, Luciano moved to the then Serie B club AC Chievo Verona . Here he was under Luigi Delneri to Chievo dei miracoli , the promotion to the Serie A managed. In the following season he and his teammate Christian Manfredini formed one of the best wing duos in the entire championship. In the summer of 2002, Luciano admitted his change of identity, the sports court suspended him for six months and sentenced him to a fine of 160,000 euros. After his suspension, Luciano continued to play for Chievo (with a brief stint at Inter Milan ), where he was engaged until the summer of 2013.

For the 2013/14 season, Luciano moved to Mantova FC in Italy's fourth-highest division, Lega Pro Seconda Divisione (formerly Serie C), where he ended his active career in 2013.
