Lucie Robinson (born May 7, 1978 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a Czech portrait , art and fashion photographer .

Life

Lucie Robinson comes from a family with roots in Austria and Russia. After training as a jewelry designer, she studied design at the Academy for Art, Architecture and Design in Prague . In 1997 she began a career as a photo model, after which she moved to Paris in 1998. Her appearances in MTV and Viva music videos also date from this time.

Although she had received artistic training as part of her academy studies, she did not begin to take photographs until after 2001 and initially established herself as a portrait and fashion photographer. She photographed celebrities and top models, including - as part of a PR campaign for Louis Vuitton - Paulina Porizkova , Miloš Forman and others. Her fashion photographs and portraits are published in Elle , Harper's Bazaar , Marie Claire , Vision (China), Wig (UK) and in other fashion and lifestyle magazines in Europe and Asia. Lucie Robinson has worked on advertising campaigns for Cadbury , Orange Mobile, T-Mobile and Procter & Gamble .

Her fashion photographs are characterized by their dynamic, calligraphic, figurative style and the sublime erotic presences, which range from the playful to the promisingly passionate. Her portraits show an ambiguity between conceptual, ontological and reportage-like elements.

Her work was honored in 2006 at the Festival International de la Photographie de Mode in Cannes. In 2007–2009 she received the Schwarzkopf Awards Press Prize. In 2008, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York hosted an exhibition of her work on fashion and architecture. Her video installation “Follow Me” was presented at the India Art Fair 2018.
