Lucie Boehm

Lucie Böhm (married Rothauer ) (born October 12, 1974 in Prague , Czechoslovakia , now the Czech Republic ) is an Austrian orienteer .

In addition to 23 Austrian national championship titles so far, Lucie Böhm has also achieved numerous international successes in the course of her career. The highlight of her career was winning the 1997 World Championship (short distance) in Grimstad , Norway , where she defeated the strong Scandinavians on her own ground. Two years later, with the runner-up world title in the middle distance in Scotland, she succeeded in proving that that victory was no coincidence. During this time she was also one of the most successful runners on the Park World Tour of orienteering.

In 1997 she received the Silver Decoration for Services to the Republic of Austria .

Lucie Böhm ended her international career in 2001 at the age of 27 in 8th place in the world rankings. Since then she has been running at national events and for a short time was also Vice President for competitive sports in the Austrian Association for Orienteering .

In 2000 she became Swedish individual champion in the middle distance as a member of IFK Lidingö .
