Lucius Ceionius Commodus was a Roman politician and senator .
Commodus came from Etruria . Under Emperor Vespasian he was raised to the patrician rank. He was the father of Lucius Ceionius Commodus , who became consul in 106 , and the grandfather of the later Caesar Lucius Aelius Caesar . By military diplomas is evidence that Commodus with in 78 Decimus Junius Novius Priscus was ordinary consul. From 78/79 to 81/82 he was governor of Syria .
