Lucius Wolter
Lucius Wolter (born September 4, 1979 in Hamburg ) is a German singer , actor and musical performer .
Live and act
After his first musical attempts on the recorder , Lucius Wolter learned to play the piano from the age of six. a. with Ernst R. Barthel in Lübeck . At the same age he joined the children's choir of the Hamburg State Opera called Hamburger Alsterspatzen and worked for three years in numerous operas and radio and television appearances as a soloist and chorister. Five years of singing lessons with Peter Anders and Perrin Allen followed. At " Jugend musiziert " he won several federal awards in the areas of solo and duet singing. Wolter received acting lessons and speech training from Tillman Maddaus, Marianne Bernhardt, Anna Hauer and Stefan Leonhardt. He was heard in numerous concerts and participated in smaller music theater productions.
The first appearance in a professional stage production followed at the Kurtheater Westerland in the summer of 2000 and in the Danish city theater Abenrade in " Figaros Hochzeit " by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . The breakthrough was the German premiere of Elisabeth in Essen with the role of Crown Prince Rudolf.
After that, Lucius was seen and heard in many musicals in German-speaking countries. The most important roles include: Marius in LES MISERABLES (Theater des Westens, Berlin), a. a. Maxim de Winter in REBECCA (Raimund Theater, Vienna), Raoul in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and Crown Prince Rudolf in ELISABETH (Colosseum Theater Essen), Jesus in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (including MuseumsQuartier, Vienna), Kerchak and Mr. Clayton in DISNEY'S TARZAN (Neue Flora Hamburg, Apollo Theater Stuttgart, Metronom Theater Oberhausen), Dracula in Wildhorn's DRACULA (Landestheater Detmold, Theater Nordhausen), Baron von Geigern in GRAND HOTEL (Theater am Gärtnerplatz, Munich), Tony in WEST SIDE STORY (Thuner Seespiele, Tecklenburger Festspiele), Lanzelot in CAMELOT (Tecklenburg), Thomas Andrews and Barrett in TITANIC (Neue Flora Hamburg, Thuner Seespiele), a. a. Colloredo in MOZART! (Raimund Theater, Vienna). He was on stage as Garcia in the German premiere of the Wildhorn musical CARMEN at the Musicalsommer Winzendorf 2019 and will play Athos in THE 3 MUSKETEERS at the Magdeburg Opera in the 19/20 season. He can also be seen at CATS at the Raimund Theater in Vienna (as Gus / Growltiger and Alt Deuteronimus).
Lucius also works as musical director, u. a. Joop van den Ende Academy, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Aida Cruises, Teatro Wien.
Lucius Wolter has been married to the singer and musical performer Silke Braas since May 5, 2012 . They have a son and a daughter together.
