Lucy Wicks (born March 20, 1982 in Poole ) is a British volleyball player .

Career

Wicks got into volleyball through her sister. She started her career in her hometown at Wessex VC . Further stations in England were Loughborough , Wolverhampton and the London Malory VC. In 2001, the setter took part with the national student team at the 2001 Universiade in Beijing . In 2008 she moved to the French first division side Quimper Volley. Two years later, the German Bundesliga team Alemannia Aachen discovered the national player who played with the British in the Europa League. Aachen also had the opportunity for Wicks to recommend herself for the 2012 Olympic tournament in London, where she finished ninth.
