Luděk Kovačík (born August 24, 1961 in Jihlava ) is a former Czechoslovak football player .

Career

Midfielder Kovačík was from the 1982/83 season to the 1989/90 season in the ranks of the Czechoslovak first division club TJ Vítkovice . During this period he made 202 top division appearances and scored 35 goals. In the 1985/86 season he was with the team Czechoslovak champions. In the European Cup of National Champions , his team reached the round of 16 in 1986/87 , to which he contributed a goal in the 2-2 in the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain . In the UEFA Cup of the season 1987/88 they reached the quarter-finals. In the wake of the fall of the Iron Curtain , he moved to the West and initially joined FC Sachsen Leipzig in the 1990/91 season , for which he played 13 league games (no goal). In the seasons 1992/93 and 1993/94 he was in the squad of Sportfreunde Siegen .

National team

Kovačík ran eleven times (no goal) for the U-18, once (no goal) for the Olympic selection and seven times (one goal) in the U-21 of the ČSSR. He was also used twice (no goal) in the Czechoslovak national team .
