Ludolf Ehrenreich von Strantz , also Ludolf Ehrenreich , (born September 19, 1660 in Sieversdorf ; † December 22, 1723 ibid) was a Brandenburg-Prussian Junker, royal Prussian land marshal and district administrator from the ancient noble family of Strantz .

Life

Ludolf Ehrenreich von Strantz came from a noble family who originally immigrated from Thuringia to the Electorate of Brandenburg in the 14th century and initially settled in the Diocese of Lebus .

Ludolf Ehrenreich initially served in the Brandenburg-Prussian army, in which he advanced to the rank of captain . After retiring from military service, he managed his inherited estates in the Lebus district , which had been in the family since the end of the 14th century, namely Sievendorf , Petershagen and a share in Petersdorf . In addition, he held a court office, namely that of Kgl. Prussian Land Marshal. In addition, the Prussian king appointed him to a state administrative office and appointed him district administrator of the Lebus district.

Ludolf Ehrenreich was married to Elisabeth Charlotte von Birkholz (1675-1718) since January 4, 1693. In addition to four sons and two daughters who died young, the couple had another five sons and two daughters who reached adulthood. Among these were two sons who both became officers and who both founded a line that has flourished to this day: Carl Ernst von Strantz (1707–1790) donated the Barkow line and Albrecht Ehrenreich von Strantz (1711–1766) founded the Petershagen line.
