Ludwig Christian Konrad Lammersdorf (* circa 1721/31 in Büdingen ; † "in February" 1791 in Hanover ) was a German obstetrician , city surgeon , teacher and designer .

Life

Ludwig Christian Konrad Lammersdorf was the father of the later court medicus Johann Anton Lammersdorf .

Lammersdorf received his training in Berlin from the well-known obstetrician and professor Johann Friedrich Meckel .

After his apprenticeship, Lammersdorf went to Hanover and acquired citizenship there on October 5, 1756. Equipped in this way, he was able to “1. Accoucheur ”(obstetrician) as well as teacher at the newly founded midwifery institute , the forerunner of today's state women's clinic . In the medical management he was later supported there by his son, born in 1758.

Lammersdorf taught midwives in a modern way: In the course system were phantoms used and a glass womb . The training sessions were also supported graphically with drawn illustrations and models . Lammersdorf designed some obstetrical tools himself.
