Ludwig Ely

Ludwig Ely (* probably August 26, 1849 in Paris , † January 4, 1897 in Wehlheiden ) (also Adolf Louis Ely ) was a German glass painter, son of the glass painter Heinrich Ely (senior) and twin brother of Heinrich Ely (junior) , with the together he continued the workshop that was active from 1854 to 1912 after his father's death. The workshop, initially located in Nantes and later in Kassel-Wehlheiden , realized glazing in the then German Empire , in France and in the United States of America .

The Ely brothers include a. Stained glass windows in the Protestant old and new town churches in Hofgeismar, in the Protestant city church in Homberg and in the Protestant city church in Wanfried .
