Ludwig Friedrich Cellarius

Ludwig Friedrich Cellarius, also: Ludwig Friedrich Keller (born November 25, 1745 in Quittelsdorf , † May 22, 1818 in Rudolstadt ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

After attending grammar school in Rudolstadt, Cellarius studied at the University of Jena, where he acquired a master's degree in philosophy. In 1776 he went to Wittenberg as an adjunct at the philosophical faculty of Leucorea , was on May 19, 1776 baccalaureus of theology and gave philosophical and theological lectures.

In 1777 he was called to Rudolstadt as a deacon, where he held several spiritual positions and in 1810 was appointed general superintendent and inspector of the theological seminary. His active participation in the events of the time and his theological and philosophical writings earned him the recognition of that time.
