Ludwig Huettl

Ludwig Hüttl (born January 22, 1945 in Trostberg ; † June 7, 2018 in Niederndorf, a district of Waldkraiburg ) was a German historian .

Life

The doctor's son's childhood and youth were marked by illness. He compensated for downtime at school with self-taught learning and thus achieved top grades. Hüttl studied history, philosophy , German and Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the PTH Vallendar . After graduating as Dr. phil. in Munich in 1970 and his habilitation in 1978 at the Pedagogical University of the Rhineland , he has been an adjunct professor for history (modern history) and history didactics at the University of Cologne since 1986 . In old age Hüttl lived very withdrawn. His remains were anonymously buried as requested.
