Ludwig Holländer (lawyer)

Ludwig Holländer (born August 5, 1877 in Berlin ; † February 9, 1936 there ) was a German lawyer.

Life

From 1896 studied Dutch law at the University in Munich . From this time he was also a member of the Jewish student union Licaria ( KC ). After graduating, he was admitted to the Munich bar.

As such, from 1907 (or 1908) Holländer acted as the syndic of the Central Association of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith (CV). From 1921 to 1922, Holländer was responsible for the monthly club magazine Im deutscher Reich , followed by the weekly CV newspaper (1922–38). In 1919 he was instrumental in founding Philo-Verlag . The magazine "Der Morgen" appeared there from April 1925 - also on Hollander's initiative. The appearance and content of this magazine were based on Carl Muth's “ Hochland ” magazine .

At the age of 58, Holländer died on February 9, 1936 in Berlin, where he found his final resting place.
