Ludwig Karl Gustav Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (born January 11, 1823 in Graz , Styria , † July 26, 1866 in Königgrätz , Bohemia ) was an Austrian colonel .

Life

His parents were Karl Gustav Wilhelm zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1777–1866) and Friederike Franziska, Landgravine von Fürstenberg (1781–1858). They belonged to the Austrian line of Hohenlohe .

Rothenhaus Castle

Ludwig Karl zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg married Gabriela von und zu Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg (1840–1923) in Prague in 1857 , whose mother had come into possession of Rothenhaus Castle . The couple had six children together. The prince also had a daughter from a previous relationship with Marianne Seifert. His grandchildren included Max Egon (1897–1968) and Max Karl (1901–1943).

Ludwig Karl zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg died on July 26th, 1866 in the German War in the Battle of Königgrätz , his son Gottfried took over his property.
