Ludwig Müller (General, 1892)

Ludwig Müller (born June 28, 1892 in Zeselberg , † June 28, 1972 in Ettlingen ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the infantry in World War II .

Life

Müller served as an officer in the First World War . After the end of the war, he switched to the Reichswehr and worked as a general staff officer and commander in various units. He also served in the Wehrmacht during the Second World War, including as commander of the 198th Infantry Division and the 97th Jäger Division . In 1944 Müller became the commanding general of the XXXXIV. Army Corps and was taken prisoner by the Soviets on September 23, 1944, from which he was released in 1955.
