Ludwig Schwarz (politician)

Ludwig (Louis) Schwarz (born March 28, 1819 in Winnenden ; † April 28, 1889 in Ebingen ) was a wool dyer, cloth manufacturer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schwarz attended the Preceptoratsschule in Winnenden and learned wool dyeing, then made major trips to Switzerland, France, Northern Germany and the Austrian states for his training. He was managing director in renowned cloth factories in Austria and Russian Poland. Later he was the owner of a wool dyeing factory and city councilor in Ebingen.

As a politician he joined the Württemberg People's Party and from 1868 until his death held a mandate from the voters of the Balingen Oberamt for the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Landtag .

From 1874 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 9 ( Balingen , Rottweil , Spaichingen , Tuttlingen ) and the Progressive Party .
