Ludwig Ulrich

Ludwig Ulrich (born December 15, 1896 in Freistett ; † April 13, 1980 in Kehl ) was a German farmer and politician ( BCSV , CDU ).

Life

Ludwig Ulrich was born the son of a farmer. After attending school, he first worked in his parents' company, then changed his occupation and was involved in shipping on the Rhine from 1911 to 1914. From 1915 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . After the war he worked again in his parents' farm until 1926. From 1926 to 1939 he owned his own ship with which he transported goods on the Rhine. From 1941 to 1944 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

After the war ended, Ulrich worked as a farmer in Freistett. He joined the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. In 1945 he became deputy mayor of Freistett. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden and from 1947 to 1952 a member of the Baden State Parliament .
