Ludwig Weissel

Ludwig Friedrich Weissel (also Ludwig F. Weissel and Ludwig F. Weissel ; * December 8, 1841 in Vienna , † January 16, 1886 in Wiesbaden ) was an Austrian lawyer , writer and translator .

Life

Weissel was the son of court attorney Joseph Weissel (1811–1877). He completed his high school education in Vienna. He then went to the University of Vienna , where he studied law. He dealt with literature very early on. He was at the Vienna University for Dr. iur. PhD . He then settled in Vienna as a lawyer and became a liberal member of the Vienna City Council . Even at that time, his weak constitution was known.

Weissel was forced to resign from all of his offices due to his increasingly deteriorating health. Increasingly he had to stay in warmer climes. He was in Geneva , Montreux , Bad Reichenhall and Wiesbaden, among others . Here he finally died. His wife looked after his estate and published works from it.
