Ludwig Wittmann

Ludwig Wittmann (born July 26, 1898 in Massing , † January 23, 1972 ) was a Hessian politician ( KPD ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Ludwig Wittmann did an apprenticeship as a building craftsman after elementary school and worked in this craft until 1933. From 1933 to 1934 and again from 1936 to 1945 he was arrested for political reasons (prison and concentration camp).

Ludwig Wittmann was active in politics and trade unions since 1919. In 1945 he became party secretary of the KPD. From August 19, 1949 (as a replacement for Wilhelm Bauer ) to November 30, 1950, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.
