Luis Alberto Pérez Rionda (born August 16, 1969 in Matanzas ) is a former Cuban sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run and celebrated his greatest successes with the Cuban 4 x 100 meter relay .

Life

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he was sixth in the relay. Four years later, at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , he won the bronze medal in 38.04 s behind the teams from the United States and Brazil as the starting runner of his relay team, together with Iván García , Freddy Mayola and José Angel Cesar .

He was also three times Cuban champion in the 100-meter run (1996-1997, 1999).

Luis Pérez was 1.72 m tall and had a competition weight of 72 kg.
