Luis Cruz (born September 21, 2000 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has attended The Hill Academy in Vaughan , Ontario , Canada since 2016 .

Career

Luis Cruz began his career with San Jeronimo in Mexico. At the age of 16, he moved to The Hill Academy in Vaughan , Ontario , Canada. He plays for their teams in the ECEL game operations.

International

In the junior division, Cruz played for Mexico at the U18 World Championships in 2016 , 2017 when he was voted best player of his team, and 2018 , when he was again voted best player of his team as the top scorer and top scorer of the tournament, in Division III as well the U20 World Championships in 2016 in Division III and in 2017 and 2018 .

With the men's national team of his country, Cruz took part in the World Championships of Division II 2018 for the first time.
