Luis Antonio Marín Murillo (born August 10, 1974 in San José ) is a former Costa Rican soccer player .

Luis Marín came in 1992 for the first time in the Costa Rican first division at AD Carmelita . Since moving to the top club LD Alajuelense in 1993 , he has been a constant in the central defensive position there. With Alajuelense he won seven championship titles and won the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2004 .

In 2006 he moved to Israel to Maccabi Netanja .

National team

Since June 23, 1993 he has also played in the national team of Costa Rica and is the record national player with 123 appearances. As the most experienced player to have taken part in the country's most successful performance so far at the 2002 World Cup, he was again in Costa Rica's squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
