Bolkowo [ bɔl'kɔvɔ ] ( German Bolkow ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It is located 19 kilometers south of Białogard ( Belgard ) in the powiat Świdwiński and belongs to the rural community Połczyn Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ).
Geographical location
Bolkowo is located on the Bukowa ( Buckow ), a small mill stream that flows into the Parsęta ( Persante ) at Tychówko ( Woldisch Tychow ) . The place is easy to reach due to its location on the 163 Voivodeship Road between Białogard and Połczyn Zdrój. The nearest train station, Połczyn Zdrój, is twelve kilometers away.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1308. Initially an exclusive fiefdom of the von Manteuffel family, a von Wolde family was named in a loan letter in 1569 as part owners of the Pomeranian village of Bolkow (also: Belkow ). At the end of the 17th century, the von Woedtke family, founders of the park and mansion complex (built in the 2nd half of the 19th century), were part owners of Bolkow. Until the 20th century the village with its Vorwerk Augusthof and Riegen (or Rügen) belonged to the von Manteuffel family until 1928 also Strutzmin (which then came to Zwirnitz ( Świerznica )). It was later owned by the von Woedtke family until 1945. It can be assumed that there were two manors in the village.
In 1939 there were 286 inhabitants in 70 households in Bolkow. In addition to the estate , there were also eight small farmers .
Until 1945 the village of Bolkow was in the Belgard district and belonged to the Ballenberg district , the Wutzow registry office and the Bad Polzin district court. The last head of the office was Georg Gebhardt, the last registrar was Albert Kühn.
In early March 1945 Bolkow was occupied by Red Army troops. The place came to Poland, and the ancestral population was expelled . Today the village of Bolkowo is part of the rural municipality of Połczyn Zdrój and is now in the powiat Świdwiński.
church
Bolkow did not have its own church, but belonged to the parish village of Woldisch Tychow (today: Tychówko). Thus it was the church district Belgard ecclesiastical province of Pomerania in the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union allocated. The church patronage in the parish Woldisch Tychow was shared by the landowners of the parish places. For Bolkow it was last seen by the von Woedtke family, the last German pastor was Alfred Bidder.
Today Bolkowo is part of the Parafia ( Parochie ) Koszalin ( Köslin ) Evangelical Church Augsburg (Lutheran) Denomination in Poland ( Kościół Ewangelicko-Augsburski (Luterański) w Polsce ).
Former estate
The single-storey former mansion now houses a school and was built from risalit in the style of early functionalism. In addition to the manor house, the complex also includes a naturalistic park (6.5 hectares) and a solid farm building. Fragments of an old water mill from the 17th century are preserved 1 km away in the direction of Biała Góra .
school
Most recently, the teachers Fritz Hundt and Walter Naggatz taught in the two-class elementary school in Bolkow.
