Carl Ludwig Alexander von Woedtke (born September 17, 1824 in Bolkow , Pomerania ; † May 6, 1901 ibid) was a member of the German Reichstag and district administrator of the Greifenberg district in Western Pomerania .

Life

Carl von Woedtke was the son of Carl Friedrich von Woedtke, owner of the Bolkow estate and a Prussian first lieutenant. D., and his wife Laurette von Glasenapp , and a right cousin of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck's wife Johanna von Bismarck , née von Puttkamer. Johanna von Bismarck's mother Luitgarde von Puttkamer , née von Glasenapp, was the sister of Woedtke's mother.

As the successor to his father, Woedtke was the landlord of the Woedtke manor near Greifenberg in Pomerania and was appointed district administrator of the Pomeranian district of Greifenberg.As a member of the Conservative Party and a member of the Reichstag , he represented the constituency of Stettin 7 ( Greifenberg - Kammin ) of the Stettin administrative district until 1881 . In the Prussian army he had achieved the rank of Rittmeister .

In 1856, Carl von Woedtke married Clara von Blanckenburg , daughter of the captain in the Berlin house for invalids, Adolf Lorenz von Blanckenburg, and his wife Agnes nee Freiin von Lyncker . Her daughter Agnes (1867-1927) married the later Prussian Lieutenant General Julius von Platen (1853-1922) in 1887 .
