Luis Prieto Zalbidegoitia (born February 19, 1979 in Mendaro ) is a Spanish football player who plays for SD Ponferradina in the Spanish Segunda División .

Player career

Like many of his team-mates, he comes from Athletic Bilbao's own youth . Via the detour CD Baskonia and FC Barakaldo , he also made it into the second team of the Basques. From 2000 to 2002 Luis Prieto was awarded to SD Eibar , where he showed consistently good performances. In over five years at Athletic Bilbao, he has played well over 100 games.

Since summer 2008 he has been under contract with first division rivals Real Valladolid , which he left after relegation in 2010 . Since then he has been active in the Segunda División with the newly promoted SD Ponferradina .

National team

Luis Prieto has played for the Basque national team, which are not allowed to play official games, since 2003. So far, he has played two games for the team.
