Marialuisa “Luisa” Gnecchi (born June 4, 1953 in Bozen ) is a South Tyrolean politician, trade unionist and women's rights activist.

Life

She has lived in Bolzano since she was born and from 1973 worked as an employee of the INPS social insurance institution , later as the state secretary of the AGB / CGIL union . She has always been committed to women's rights and is still active today in the " Aleksandra Kollontai Group ", which opened the AIED counseling center in 1973. From 1990 to 1999 she was a member of the Advisory Board for Equal Opportunities and Equal Opportunities.

In November 1998 she was elected to the list in the middle left project - Progetto Centrosinistra in the South Tyrolean state parliament and at the same time the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . After initially serving briefly as vice-president of the state parliament, Gnecchi was a member of the South Tyrolean provincial government from 1999 to 2003 as regional councilor for work, Italian schools and vocational training in the Durnwalder III cabinet . On October 26, 2003 Gnecchi was with 4,705 preferential votes on the list Together Left - Peace and Justice (alliance of left- wing democrats , SDI, PRC and citizen movements) for the XIII. Legislative term re-elected. From December 2003 to July 2008 Gnecchi was in Cabinet Durnwalder IV Governor Deputy and Minister for Employment, innovation, equal opportunities, cooperatives, Italian vocational training and school. In addition, she worked from 2006 to 2008 as assessor and vice-president in the regional government of Trentino-South Tyrol .

In the Italian parliamentary elections in 2008 Gnecchi ran successfully on the list of the Partito Democratico in the multi-person constituency of Trentino-South Tyrol for the Chamber of Deputies. She therefore resigned from her offices in the regional council, state parliament, state and regional government due to incompatibility. In the parliamentary elections in 2013 , she was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies, to which she was a member until 2018.
