Luise Beerli

Luise Beerli (* 1942 ) is a Swiss singer and yodeler from Höngg near Zurich. Born in Appenzell, she grew up in a farming family and was nicknamed “Tractor Beerli” because of her passion for her own tractor . She worked as a saleswoman and later as a commercial clerk in the automotive industry . In her musical career she took singing lessons from Alex Eugster and interpreted yodel songs and popular hits. She was engaged by the Trio Eugster and the Ländler bands Edi Bär and Carlo Brunner , among others .
