Edi Bär (born October 17, 1913 as Edwin Bär in Oetwil am See ; † February 11, 2008 ) was a Swiss conductor , composer, clarinet and saxophone player from Männedorf . His music was the landlord . Bär started his professional career as a fitter in the Uetikon chemical factory . After 28 years, he switched to the metallurgy industry and joined the field service for industrial salts .

hobby

He liked to swim regularly across Lake Zurich and was known for it. In 1998, at the age of 84, he was the oldest participant in the Lützelauschwimming run by the Swiss Lifesaving Society. However, he had to give up swimming due to his old age and hypothermia.
