Lukas Klemenz (born September 24, 1995 in Neu-Ulm ) is a Polish soccer player .

Career

Klemenz, the son of a Polish woman and an African American, began his career at Sparta Prudnik. After further stints at Fortuna Głogówek and Pomologia Prószków, Odra Opole became aware of the player and signed the midfielder. At the end of 2011, Klemenz was invited to a trial training at Widzew Łódź . There he wanted to assert himself in order to get closer to his dream, the Ekstraklasa . However, the medical examination revealed that Klemenz had a congenital heart defect. Klemenz had to undergo an operation and could neither train nor play football for over half a year. Klemenz was back in Odra Opole's squad in the 2012/2013 season and gradually fought his way back. In April 2013 Klemenz was appointed to the Polish U-18 national team and was allowed to play in two test matches against the Czech selection.

In 2013 he moved to France for Valenciennes FC , where he was part of the second team. Since the 2014/15 season he has played for GKS Bełchatów , but was loaned to the second half of the 2014/15 season by the Polish first division club Korona Kielce and played ten games in the Ekstraklasa .
