Luke Halpin

Luke Halpin (born April 4, 1947 in Astoria , USA ) is an American actor who is best known for his role as Sandy Ricks in Flipper .

Life

Luke Halpin is the son of Helen and Eugene Halpin and has two siblings, his brother Eugene, Jr. and his sister Joan.

Initially, Halpin was a stage actor, including 1959 on Broadway in the play Take me along . In 1961 he got the role in the movie Flipper , which was released in 1963. Due to the success of the film, the sequel New Adventure with Flipper and the television series of the same name started in 1964 . Until the discontinuation of the series in 1967 Halpin played in a total of three seasons on the side of Tommy Norden (younger brother Bud) the teenage Sandy Ricks.

Today Halpin works as a pilot and technician for a film production company. He is married to his wife Deborah for the second time and has one child with her. There are two more children from his first marriage.

In Alan Shapiro's film Flipper from 1996, Luke Halpin can be seen in a short scene as a guest on board the Bounty Hunter .
