Luna Park (original title in Russian Луна-парк ) is a French - Russian film from 1992 .
It was first shown on September 9, 1992 at the Cannes Film Festival in France and four days later at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada. In Germany, the film was dubbed in German and released on February 11, 1993. On January 21, 1994, it was released in the USA by New York Films .

The film is set in Russia before the fall of the Wall and tells the story of Andrei, an anti-Semitic skinhead who leads the radical gang cleaners . Its members incite against those who think differently: bikers, Jews, gays, long-haired people. After breaking into an archive, Andrei finds out that his father is the well-known Jewish musician and bon vivant Naum. Initially shocked by this information, Andrei begins to grapple with his roots. After a few encounters that lead to arguments, a normal relationship between father and son slowly begins to develop. But Andrei soon finds out that his own anti-Semitic past catches up with him. When his friends find out that he is Jewish, he suddenly becomes the hunted.

The composer Isaak Schwarz won the Nika Film Prize of the Russian Film Academy for film music.
Remarks
There are three versions of this film:
- the original Russian version without subtitles; it was released on DVD and has good picture quality;
- the French version in OT with embedded English subtitles, but in poorer picture quality than VHS cassette ;
- a German dubbed version without subtitles, also only on VHS and with the same quality as the French version
- the US VHS version released by New York Films in 1994 ; it is similar to the French VHS version.
