Life

His success only grew during the Third Reich, as he often played authority figures in his films, who were particularly in demand during National Socialism. He played his best-known role in the classic comedy Die Feuerzangenbowle as the history teacher Dr. Brett, the only teacher in the college that students have respect for. His character has been changed for the film from the original book. In the final phase of the war he also played in Shiva and the Gallows Flower , the last film of the Third Reich, but this was never completed. After the war he could still be seen in a few films, such as The Condemned Village and The Story of Little Muck .

From 1920 to 1932 Lutz Götz was married to his colleague Anneliese Reppel .
