Lutz Rüdiger Recknagel (born July 8, 1966 in Remscheid ) is a German politician (formerly FDP ), was deputy state chairman of his party in Thuringia and from 2009 to 2014 a member of the Thuringian state parliament .

Career

Recknagel's father came from Steinbach-Hallenberg , his mother from the Bergisches Land . Lutz Recknagel graduated from secondary school in 1982 and graduated from high school in 1985. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal , which he graduated with a degree in engineering. As a result of his father's illness, he took over the management of his parents' metalworking company while still studying. In 1991 he also founded his own metal company in Christes in southern Thuringia .

Lutz Recknagel was one of three deputy state chairmen of the Thuringian FDP since 2004 . He was district chairman of the FDP in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district and since the municipal elections in Thuringia in 2009 a member of the district council there. In the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , the FDP overcame the five percent hurdle for the first time in 15 years ; Recknagel moved into the state parliament via number 4 on the FDP state list.

At the beginning of July 2012, Recknagel left the FDP. He justified this step with his disappointment with the voting behavior of the FDP parliamentary group on the euro rescue fund ESM . He initially retained his mandate and remained a member of the FDP parliamentary group in the Thuringian state parliament. On January 31, 2014, just under eight months before the 2014 state elections , he announced that he was giving up his mandate “for health and personal reasons”; for him Gisela Sparmberg moved up in the state parliament.
