Lutz Schnürer (born December 17, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player. During his career, the striker worked for FC Vorwärts Frankfurt and 1. FC Saarbrücken, among others .

career

Lutz Schnürer comes from the junior division of BSG Chemie PCK Schwedt , from which he moved to Lok / Armaturen Prenzlau and Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt in the GDR league in the mid-1980s . Schnürer completed the list of goalscorers with 17 goals in the 1984/85 season and was then delegated to the GDR Oberliga for FC Vorwärts Frankfurt .

In the six-time GDR champions, Schnürer was able to assert himself as a regular player right away, but after Lutz Otto and Frieder Andrich left Frankfurt, they only played in the relegation battle. In 1988 Schnürer switched to HFC Chemie , which he left after only one season. The subsequent move to 1. FC Saarbrücken can be seen as one of the first German-German transfers , which in the shadow of the move from Andreas Thom to Bayer 04 Leverkusen received little media attention.

Schnürer did not make the breakthrough in Saarbrücken and ended his career in 1992.
