Lyn Byl (born December 1, 1979 in Wuppertal ) is a former German-British handball player and today's trainer.

She started playing handball at Sonnborn TV and then moved to TuS Haßlinghausen. The physiotherapist then played for TV Beyeröhde and from 1997 to 2003 for Bayer Leverkusen . She then moved to SC Buntekuh Lübeck for 18 months before returning to Leverkusen, where she was part of the Bundesliga team until 2011. With Leverkusen she won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2005 , and the DHB Cup in 2002 and 2010 .

The 1.72 m tall circle player completed five international matches for the German national team and nine for the British national team . She was part of the British squad that took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

From June 2013 to the end of the 2015/2016 season, she was head coach of the first women's team at the West German third division club 1. FC Köln.
