Lyndsay McIntosh

Lyndsay McIntosh (* 1955 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish politician and former member of the Conservative Party .

Political career

In the first elections to the Scottish Parliament in 1999 , McIntosh ran for the Conservative Party in the constituency of Kilmarnock and Loudoun . She gained 11.7% of the vote, behind Margaret Jamieson of the Labor Party and Alex Neil of the SNP in third place. McIntosh, however, was on first place on the Conservative Party's regional list for the electoral region of Central Scotland and moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament on the basis of the election result . At the end of the legislature, McIntosh resigned from the Conservative Party and joined the newly formed Scottish People's Alliance . For this she ran again in the 2003 general election for Kilmarnock and Loudoun. However, she received only 1.2% of the vote.
