Mário Breška (born December 27, 1979 in Topoltschan ) is a Slovak football player .
Career
The offensive all-rounder began his career at his home club FK Matador Púchov before moving to Greece for Panionios Athens in 2004 . There Breška quickly prevailed as a regular player and was able to score 11 goals for the capital club in 83 games. In 2007 he returned to Slovakia for MŠK Žilina , where he became the top scorer of the Slovak league in the 2007/08 season with 14 goals and 12 assists. In June 2008 he then signed a contract with the German second division club 1. FC Nürnberg . There he scored three times in his first test match against TSV Mindelheim, including the 1-0 in the second minute. In other test matches, he was also used as a right full-back. In the first few games of the season he was also in this position in the starting line-up, but ultimately could not convince on the defensive. In the first game of the season he prepared the first goal by Isaac Boakye . In the further course of the first half of the season he was rarely in the starting line-up and was mostly substituted on as an offensive player. Therefore, the loan to the Cypriot first division side Enosis Neon Paralimni followed during the winter break . At the end of the season he was handed over to the Cypriot champions APOEL Nicosia . In the summer of 2010 he moved to the Greek first division club Olympiakos Volos .
Title / Achievements
- Promotion to the Bundesliga in 2008/09 with 1. FC Nürnberg (only in the first half of the season with the club)
