Márton Szívós

István Márton Szivós (born August 19, 1981 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian water polo player .

Szivos won three silver medals with the Hungarian national team: in the 2005 World Cup behind the team from Serbia and Montenegro, in the 2006 European Championship behind Serbia and in the 2007 World Cup behind Croatia. After being in 2008 not invoke the Olympic team, he returned in 2009 back to the national team and was fifth in 2009 at the World Cup , in 2011 the team finished fourth. At the European Championships in 2012 , the Hungarian team won the bronze medal.

Szivós was Hungarian champion five times from 2001 to 2005 with Domino BHSE , the water polo department of Honvéd Budapest . In 2006 he was Italian champion with Pro Recco . He then returned to Honvéd for six years before moving to Szeged in 2012.

Márton Szivós comes from a water polo family, his grandfather István Szívós senior was Olympic champion in 1952 and 1956, his father István Szívós junior was Olympic champion in 1976.
