Water polo world championships 2005

The 2005 World Water Polo Championships took place as part of the 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montreal . The total of 96 games, 48 ​​each for men and women, were played in the Pavillon des Baigneurs on Île Sainte-Hélène .

At these championships, the new rules that came into force on October 1, 2005 were successfully tested by FINA .
