Tobias Kreuzmann

Tobias Kreuzmann (born June 15, 1981 in Duisburg ) is a German water polo player .

Life

Kreuzmann took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and reached 5th place with the German team. At the 2008 Olympics, he was tenth with the German selection. At the 2005 World Water Polo Championships , the German team with Marc Politze finished 9th, in 2007 the team came 8th in 2003 and in 2008 the team was sixth at the European Championships. At the Euro 2012, Kreuzmann was fifth with Germany, but three months later he missed the Olympic qualification for London. Kreuzmann has made 264 international matches since 2000 (as of May 19, 2012).

Tobias Kreuzmann played for ASC Duisburg from his youth until 2014 , with whom he won the championship and cup double in 2013. In nine final series, the Duisburg team lost to the Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 .

In April 2005 Tobias Kreuzmann tested positive in a doping test. He had been using a hair restorer since 2004 that contained the active ingredient finasteride , which was placed on the list of prohibited substances as a masking agent on January 1, 2005 . In June 2005, the DSV Kreuzmann acquitted of all doping allegations after Kreuzmann's statements were believed. An additional analysis at the Sports University in Cologne found no steroid substances that could have been masked with finasteride.

In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, Kreuzmann played for SV Krefeld 72 in the B group of the German water polo Bundesliga. For the 2016/17 season, at the age of 35, he moved to SC Kreuzlingen in Switzerland.

Tobias Kreuzmann has been in a relationship with ex-swimmer Hannah Stockbauer since the 2001 World Swimming Championships and has been married to her since July 2017. They have two daughters (* 2011, * 2014).
