Heinrich Wildfellner

Heinrich Wildfellner (born January 18, 1906 in Grieskirchen ; † January 30, 1988 there ) was an Upper Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and lawyer. He was a member of the state parliament from 1954 to 1967 and a regional councilor in the Upper Austrian provincial government from 1961 to 1971 .

education and profession

Wildfellner attended the Episcopal Gymnasium Petrinum in Linz at the suggestion of the parish priest Georg Wagnleithner-Stibler from 1916 and passed the Matura in 1925 . He then studied law at the University of Innsbruck from 1925 and was a member of the Catholic university association " Austria ". Wildfellner received his doctorate in law on February 7, 1931 and subsequently worked as a lawyer. He first completed his legal and legal practice in Grieskirchen and Klagenfurt and then worked as a lawyer in Grieskirchen from May 1, 1938 to March 31, 1976, and served in the Wehrmacht from 1940 until the end of the Second World War . He was also a member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Grieskirchen from 1947 to 1975 and chief curator of the Landes-Hypothekenanstalt Linz from 1971 to 1974.

Wildfellner began his political career as a councilor for the city of Grieskirchen. He was a member of this body from November 1945 to October 1966 and also worked as parliamentary group chairman of the ÖVP Grieskirchen. Between May 7, 1946 and November 10, 1955, he also held the office of Vice Mayor. After the death of Provincial Councilor Franz Breitwieser, he moved up on October 19, 1954 as a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament, where he was chairman of the finance committee. On November 16, 1961, he moved to the Upper Austrian provincial government for Hermann Kletzmayr as provincial councilor for economy and trade, citizenship and elections, but remained a member of the provincial parliament. He also continued his work as chairman of the finance committee and in 1961 also became chairman of the newly created control committee. Wildfellner resigned as a member of the state parliament on December 5, 1967, but continued his work in the state government as a state councilor for economy and trade until May 2, 1971. He resigned in the course of the government reshuffle after the resignation of Governor Heinrich Gleißner from office.

Private

Wildfellner was born as the seventh and youngest child of the farmers Josef and Maria Wildfellner at the “Ochsenbergergut”. From 1938 he was married to Josefine Wiedemann, daughter of the district councilor from Grieskirchen, and the father of four children. He was buried in Grieskirchen after his death.
