Máximo "Chimo" Rolón (born November 18, 1934 ) is a former Paraguayan national soccer player.

The only 1.56 m tall Rolón comes from the ranks of Club Libertad , a top club from the capital Asunción . With Libertad he won the Paraguayan championship in 1955. He was also the league's top scorer three times in a row from 1954 to 1956, something that no one else has achieved. He scored 24, 25 and 23 hits respectively.

Between 1955 and 1956 he also played 15 times for the Paraguay national team , scoring 8 goals. With her he took part in the South American football championships of 1955 in Chile and 1956 in Uruguay . At the 1955 tournament he was one of the most accurate strikers with five goals.

In 1957 he replaced the former top scorer René Meléndez at the Chilean club Everton de Viña del Mar , who migrated to Universidad de Chile . At Everton, under coach Carlos Aldabe , he was the team's most dangerous attacker and in the first play of the Copa Chile in 1958 he was the top scorer of the competition with seven goals. He was also one of the more important goalscorers in the championship. In 1960 he played on CD San Luis de Quillota .

In 1961, Máximo Rolón played at América de Cali under the Argentine coach El Maestro Adolfo Pedernera in Colombia . Outstanding at that time was America's highest win so far, 5-0, in the derby against local rivals Deportivo Cali , Clásico Vallecaucano , to which he contributed two goals. Back in April he scored all three of America's goals in a 3-1 win in the first Clásico of the season - a “flawless” hat trick between the 58th and 77th minute. In total, he scored 11 goals in 19 games at America. The fact that he only stayed with the club until September prevented him from being able to compete as a coach under his brother Porfirio , who was on the bench at America from the end of November. He was also an important striker and was also in the ranks of Libertad and América.

Máximo Rolón returned to Chile in 1960, where he first played for the Santiago Wanderers and then in the second division at the now lost club Valparaíso Ferroviarios .

In July 2003, Máximo Rolón, who last worked for the city council of Asunción, was chosen by Club Libertad as a player of the outstanding championship team of 1955, which is considered the best team of the club in the 20th century, together with his team-mates at the time by means of a private game against the Mexican club Deportivo Toluca honored again. His daughter lives in Chile.
