Martin "Mäddel" Fuchs (born February 3, 1951 in Zurich ) is a Swiss photographer .

Life

Maddel Fuchs grew up in Zurich and attended high school in Trogen in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden from 1963 to 1970 . He broke off his law and medicine studies at the University of Zurich in 1974 to become a self-taught photographer. From 1982 to 1986 he was a photo reporter for the weekend supplement of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung . Maddel Fuchs became known through his long-term photographic projects on the agricultural and cultural tradition of the Appenzellerland .
