Märjamaa (Eng. Marienland or Merjama ) is a rural community in the Estonian district of Rapla with an area of 872 km². This makes it the largest municipality in Estonia in terms of area. Märjamaa has 7146 inhabitants (January 1, 2011) and is about 65 km from Tallinn and 30 km from Rapla .
Märjamaa was first mentioned in 1364 with the construction of a stone church. The St. Mary's Church in Märjamaa from the 16th century and the Farmer's Museum in Sillaotsa are well worth seeing.
