Manor of Gut Waddemois

The Vaimõisa estate was one of the oldest possessions of the Fahrensbach family , in 1476 Ludwig Kalff sold the estate, and in 1494 it was again owned by Hans Fahrensbach. In 1529 the estate was sold to Claus Ungern . At the end of the 18th century, the Nasackin family owned the estate . From 1802 it belonged to the Wilcken family . In 1899 the property became the property of Alfred Christian Schmidt .

The two-storey main building was built in 1818 in the style of early classicism . The facade design is kept simple. The central projection of the triangular pediment shows the coat of arms of the Nasackin family . The rooms in the basement have a vaulted ceiling. The representation rooms are on the upper floor. The historic parquet floors and the doors have been preserved. A school was housed in the house until 1974. Today it is privately owned.

Not far from the main building there is a stone shed as well as the stables and carriage buildings. An avenue of lime trees runs through the estate's 2.5 hectare park. There is a pond behind the manor house. Nearby is a historic Dutch-style windmill (now a ruin). The forge on the estate with its neo-Gothic façade, about 500 m from the main house, has also been preserved . The stone rose window above the entrance is striking, giving the building the appearance of a chapel .
